“I have come that you may have life…And have it to the full”
In 2017, the Holy Trinity Community (HTC) and Emmaus Way bring Choices, a month-long series on March 3, 10, 17, and 24, in D’ Leonor Hotel, Bajada, Davao City. It was previously called the Emmaus Basic Course (EBC) that intends to invite men and women from different walks of life to choose living in a fuller life in Jesus Christ.
HTC and Emmaus Way brothers and sisters welcomed 107 guests for dinner at D’Leonor Hotel on March 1, 2017. Family members, friends, officemated, business partners and classmates flocked the venue on Ash Wednesday listening to message of faith, hope and love and empowering songs of praises. Brother Gammy Urbi started the series with a talk inspiring men and women to live an Abundant Life in Christ. The Choices Series is like a retreat while we are doing our daily and weekly routine.
It gives us a weekly dose of affirmation that it is only God’s love that can fill us, hence we live a full life. This year, guests were invited to join the Friday night gathering even though they haven’t attended the previous sessions. With a fresh new format, the music ministry welcomed guests with upbeat and vibrant praise and worship songs.
In all Fridays of March, different speakers moved guests with messages of God’s mercy and love; and in between every talk, a brother or a sister comes on stage to share God’s mighty works in his/her life. Paul Garcia talked about God’s love and Michelle Taopa of Ang Lingkod ng Panginoon (Davao) shared how God’s love changed her life. This was followed by another talk from Gammy Urbi about what Jesus did for us. Maning Lagua shared about God’s wonderful works in his life. On March 17, Jun Adriatico spoke about Repentance and Faith, supplemented by a sharing from Gilber Gelacio. Nicol Fernandez empowered the guests with a talk about the Power of the Holy Spirit with Mikay Buagas as the sharer. With all these, we truly thank God for our Friday night gatherings. Indeed, Choices is a venue for brothers and sisters to praise and worship the Lords.
